Aatif Hassan is the Founder and Chairman of Cavendish Education.

Growing up with dyslexia, Aatif had to work hard to find his own way to succeed and credits the encouragement and support of his family and school as crucial to this success. He founded the Cavendish Education Group in 2013 with the simple aim to ‘give others the chance to succeed against the odds and in the face of obstacles.’

Aatif is also the Founder and Chairman of Dukes Education, a growing family of schools and educational services across Europe. He is Chairman of the Dukes Foundation, Deputy Chairman of Board at St. James Independent Schools, a trustee of The British Asian Trust, a board director of HM The Queen’s Reading Room and is part of the CReSTeD Council (Council for the Registration of Schools Teaching Dyslexic Pupils) board.

He has a first class degree in Mathematics and Economics and a British Army commission. In 2019, he was awarded the Freedom of the City of London for services to education.
