The Lion Works School approaches education in an innovative way to ensure that every one of our students leaves each day with an overwhelming sense of pride and accomplishment.
Everything we do follows our values of Ambition, Resilience and Community. This prepares our students not only for life and our ever-changing society, but encourages qualifications to be achieved, including GCSEs, BTECs, Functional Skills certificates and the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
We actively encourage participation within our local community throughout our school, with regular outdoor educational trips including sporting, historical and cultural locations and our opportunities to go further afield and explore the world.
In addition to our focus on ‘lived experiences’ we offer a variety of different therapies options to further enhance students’ learning experiences in and out of school, from Talkabout sessions to help with communication, through to morning Sensory Circuits to help prepare and regulate our students for the day ahead.
