A summer of success in our schools

It's been an extraordinary year for many reasons so far, but for Cavendish Education schools, the summer of 2020 will be defined by an extraordinary summer of achievement following the publication of academic and vocational outcomes.

The headlines from individual schools across the group included:

  • An improvement in results for the fourth consecutive year,

  • Notable results in English (a subject which can be challenging for some of our learners) with 100% of results graded at 9-4,

  • Increasing numbers of students achieving the very top grades possible; grade 9 at GCSE, A* at A Level, and the equivalent grades in vocational courses,

  • Results which exceeded the national data for mainstream providers,

  • Support for every single student to access courses at levels which are right for them: Entry Level, Functional Skills, vocational courses, ASDAN, Duke of Edinburgh etc, and to ‘exceed expected progress’ compared to their starting points,

  • Breadth of curriculum - results have been strong across the subjects, in everything from Art to Computer Science.

  • Preparing students for success beyond our doors; many are transitioning on to university, further education and training or are entering the workforce.

As a group of schools who firmly believe that learning differences shouldn’t be a barrier to success, our students have demonstrated that with the right teaching, specialist support and unwavering encouragement from a dedicated and talented staff team, they can achieve some genuinely transformative results.

Congratulations to you all!
