Welcome to Wilds Lodge School
Wilds Lodge School is a specialist therapeutic weekly boarding and day school for pupils aged 5-19 years old with social, emotional and mental health needs. Many pupils also have additional needs such as autism and ADHD.
We focus heavily on ensuring that children feel settled and safe and we place equal emphasis on the educational, social and psychological development of our students. Our whole-school therapeutic approach enables young people to thrive and to better manage their emotional response.
"Many pupils show determination to overcome difficulties. They are persistent in their learning. An older pupil typically commented, ‘This school has meant the world to me". Ofsted
Our dual campus, which spans 22 acres and includes a converted library bus, a performing arts theatre, a construction skills centre and an equine centre, draws together the natural environment and care of animals in order to support pupils’ personal and positive relationships.
The school has developed a broad curriculum that provides for pupils’ academic learning and personal development. Younger pupils learn a range of subjects. Older pupils also benefit from vocational learning. Outdoor learning extends pupils’ learning". Ofsted
